First Australian windsurfer Champion 1976 – rail ride

The WCAA thanks all the people who participated in this year’s Nationals planning survey.
The Italian Windsurfer Class Nationals were held on the 5th and 6th of September 2015. There were 65 competitors making up four men’s divisions and a women’s division.

Psst: Rumour has it that the upcoming Australian National Championship may extend invitations to Continental sailors.
The Windsurfing season started on Saturday (12/9/15) with beginner’s training and afternoon racing.
Dobroyd Aquatic Club
A new beginner’s course commenced at Dobroyd Aquatic Club with the first of eight sessions. The conditions were near ideal Spring conditions: warm, clear sky and a light NW’sterly.
The Club’s Windsurfer boards were rigged with the smaller “Junior One” sails.

Narrabeen Lakes Sailing Club
NLSC started the morning with the beginner’s training session (from 8:30am) and held the season’s first points scoring race after lunch. Additional race pics are HERE.

This course commences on Saturday the 12th of September 2015 for 8 sessions (excluding Oct 3).
The fee only covers the course, participants need footwear (worn in water), buoyancy vest if they have one, there are club ones otherwise.
Club Windsurfer Class boards will be used.
