Twilight windsurfer racing will again commence on the first Wednesday after the October long weekend on the pristine waters of Iron Cove (Drummoyne/Leichhardt area) and continue up to Christmas. Racing restarts after the Christmas holidays and continues up the end of Daylight savings.
The race is a handicap start and open to all board classes. The racing is more social than serious, but there is a massive trophy for the winner
Registration is typically done on the first night. The typical format is :
- Rigged by 6pm
- Briefing (after first week, celebrate previous week’s winners)
- Start countdown.
The race takes about an hour and there is an after race dinner up the street at Toto’s Pizza (Rodd Point).

AVOID DOUBLING UP:
The twilight racing registration fee in the past included membership to the Australian Windsurfing Association (AWA). Check when registering this season as AWA membership included third party liability insurance (TPL) and allowed you to apply and reserve a sail number for racing (eg AUS 2017) or maintain an existing number on the AWA database. This can be used at WCAA events so you do not need to repurchase TPL insurance on the WCAA tidyclub ticketing site for events.
