Dobroyd Aquatic Club Winter Series 2015

Martin Stone wins the winter series at Dobroyd Aquatic Club 2015

Martin Stone wins the winter series at Dobroyd Aquatic Club 2015

This year’s winter series at Dobroyd Aquatic Club (DAC) had a little bit of everything; rainy races, sunny races, paddling races (yes literally with paddles because the wind was so light!), and a gusty northerly complete with wicked bullets and DAC-sized holes .  Martin Stone won the series in windsurfer class from Karen Murden and kept the raceboarders honest, proving that a 6.5 metre wally sail can outperform a 9.5 metre raceboard sail in the right hands.

Summer racing starts at DAC on 12th September 2015, with registration on 5th September.  http://www.dobroydsailing.org/

Rose Bay

Dave Bell of OzSup in Rose Bay has started “The Clunkers” and says: Time to dust off that old plank, unroll that sail and feel the breeze in your hair. Every Sunday during winter come down to Rose Bay and be part of the action.
